Why we're called Honest
Named for a man everyone called Honest
The name on our sign is a nickname. Our original owner was known around Platte City simply as Honest, because that's how he treated people.
When he passed, this town came together to keep his doors open. We haven't forgotten it. Every day we work to live up to the name on the sign, and to the neighbors who kept the lights on.
